Irene Liddowe
Description: Physical Appearance:Irene's brown hair falls a few inches below her shoulders. She doesn't do anything special with it, just a brush through in the morning. Her eyes are a mixture of blue and green. Her eyes are her favorite thing about herself. Many people say that she's the spitting image of her mother, Jen. They say everything about Irene is just like her mother, even her height.

"I grew up with you mother and you're even as tall as she was when she was your age!" Her Uncle Will had told her. Irene stood at about the average height for a kid her age, maybe a little bit shorter, but not too much.

Personality: Irene Liddowe, hit by the death of her mother at a young age, learned quickly that she wanted to live life to its fullest, despite the situation at home. She grew to be spunky, bold, friendly, flirty, loyal, and curious.

Irene loved the thrill of an adventure. That thrill seemed to come a lot. Her sense of curiousity often took her hand and led her there. She would not soon forget the time she had approached her friend Zoey's closet, preparing to fling it open to find the monster Zoey swore was in there. All though it turned out to be an old dress, the adventure was a kick.

Irene's loyalty lies in her friends and family. She would die for them any day and wouldn’t hear a word against them.

Irene finds it hard to keep her mouth shut, normally resulting in some sort of trouble:
"Irene Liddowe! This is the 3rd time today! Do I need to call your father?" Her 3rd grade teacher scolded.

"Well, you're going to do it anyway, so why does my opinion matter?"

That little remark had earned her a week of after school detention. She didn’t mind. It was less time at home for her.

But fun and games ends at some point. And when they do, Irene does have the ability to be serious. Whether or not she uses that ability is another matter.

History: Irene was born into what she belived was an average, non-magical family (not that she knew of magic yet). Her parents got along fine and they lived in a small house in Kentucky. Her dad, Damon, worked for an engineering company and her mother was a teacher at a school near their favorite old restaurant. Irene was five when she overheard her mother telling her father about her magic and it was only months later when her mother died.

Her mother had worked next door to the restaurant in a school building, teaching 8th grade. It was an old restaurant without to many safety precautions. It was the summer; so many trainees were, well, training. From what the firemen can figure out, the old oven over-heated, and starting a fire inside the kitchen. They say it spread quickly through the restaurant, engulfing it in flames very quickly, before spreading to the school. They told Irene's father that a total of thirteen people died in the fire. Six employees of the restaurant, six students, and Irene's mother.

That's what triggered her father's drinking. He quit his job and spent all of the Liddowe family's money on his drinking habit, leaving no money for food. Irene couldn't tell you the amount of times she had come downstairs, about to search the cabinet for food, and accidentally wakened her father. He was never happy about that. He would scream and storm about how stupid she was. Irene lived in neglect for two years, starving and alone. It wasn't until she was seven that her Uncle, her mother's brother, came to collect some of his sister's old things. He found her searching the cabinets quietly, tear-stains clear on her face.

Uncle Mike took her away, against the protests of her drunken father who swore he would get her back. She lives in his home in Northern Michigan. He taught her about Quidditch and introduced her to her cousins, Renaye and Josh (the twins), and Elaina. It was in Irene's first year at Sonora when Damon, her father, found out that she was in Michigan and began looking for her. After some surprise interviews with a Wizarding Council's Department of Child Services, Irene's Uncle Mike officially (in legal documents) became her legal gaurdian. They don't have to worry about her father anymore. The restraining order made sure of that...

Fear: Irene's worst fear is being taken from the home she has become so accustomed to. She has a family that she loves who loves her back and she would never leave it. She wants to stay with her family and keep things the way they are.

Desire: Her greatest desire is to stay in the home she is in and remain with her new-found family.
